EnviroCluster Tour of Peter Brotherhood

Ever wondered how steam turbines and gas compressors are made?

EnviroCluster members are invited to go on a special guided tour of Peter Brotherhood’s manufacturing and assembly facility in Peterborough.

The tour will include the complete manufacturing and assembly areas for blades, nozzle cells, shaft and roll equipment, as well as gear cutting and heavy machining processes. In the assembly areas there will be the chance to view steam turbines and gas compresses in various stages of production. There may even be some on test while the tour is taking place!

This tour is expected to be very popular and group sizes restricted to 16 people. Places must be pre-booked and are available on a strictly first-come first-served basis, only one person per organisation. Further tours of the facility may be offered later in the year.

The tour is taking place on Wednesday July 16th 2008 between 10:30 and 13:00.

To register for the event contact Gareth on the details provided at the bottom of this email.
